CHENNAI, nOVEMBER 8, 2007: The Tamil Nadu government has decided to set up a committee to formulate a land policy and frame necessary guidelines for acquiring lands for industrial parks and SEZs. To be headed by the state chief secretary, the committee will also have secretaries of industries, finance and revenue departments as its members. The committee will go into all aspects of land acquisition for setting up SEZs, industries as well as industrial parks, and submit a draft policy, an official release said.
