November 29, 2007: Recently, the Union Government decided to cap the size of an SEZ at 12,500 acres. But that did not deter the Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) from setting up the biggest SEZ in Haryana, spread over a whopping 25,000 acres. The company, playing its cards cleverly, decided to have two separate SEZs in same area, thus thwarting the Government’s decision to cap the size of an SEZ at 12,500.
