Nath to seek exporters-like relief for SEZ units, EoUs

New Delhi, January 9, 2008: Concerned over the benefits of the relief package for rupee hit exporters not being extended to units in special economic zones (SEZs) and Export Oriented Units (EOUs), commerce and industry minister Kamal Nath on Wednesday said that he would take up the issue with the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs. Centre approves two Punjab SEZs

New Delhi, January 9, 2008: Chandigarh IT-SEZ gets formal approval, Ludhiana engineering SEZ gets in-principle nod. Formal approval has been given to Chandigarh-based Sukhm Infrastructure (P) Ltd’s IT SEZ, spread over 16.86 hectares with a proposed investment of Rs 745 crore.
