Kolkata, February 4, 2008: Ramky Infrastructure Ltd, the flagship company of the Ramky group, has entered into a memorandum of understanding with the Haldia Development Authority (HDA) to develop a 2,500-acre special economic zone in Haldia.
According to the MoU, Ramky and the HDA will incorporate a special purpose vehicle for the project in which the former will have an 89% interest. The HDA will have the rest. However, the SPV is yet to be formed.
Ramky is involved in water and wastewater projects, transportation, irrigation, industrial projects and parks (including SEZs), power transmission & distribution, etc.
