Mumbai, February 11, 2008: The Tata group has joined hands with Gammon Infrastructure Projects to set up a Special Economic Zone in Jamshedpur for an auto ancillary unit.
“We have won the bid to set up a Special Economic Zone in Jamshedpur for an auto ancillary unit, in association with the Tata group,” Gammon MD Parvez Umrigar told PTI.
The investment in the SEZ would be close to Rs 150 crore, he said.
Besides Tata and Gammon Infra, the Chattisgarh government is a key player in the SEZ. The Tata group has 51 per cent stake in the project, Gammon Infra 38 per cent and the Chattisgarh government 11 per cent stake.
This is the only project in which Gammon Infra has a minority stake.
