Kakinada, July 27, 2007: The establishment of SEZ will be a reality and will not be stopped even if resisted as the Central Government has already issued the gazette notification, clarified M.Subrahmanyam, East Godavari district Collector. Addressing a meeting organised at the Collectorate on Wednesday evening to elicit public opinion, which was attended by SEZ- displaced ryots, all-party leaders and representatives of non-governmental organisations, he said relief and rehabilitation package would be implemented and the ryots and people need not have any apprehensions. Bangalore, July 26, 2007: Legislative Assembly Speaker Krishna on Wednesday called for a consensus among political parties for setting up of Special Economic Zones (SEZs) in the State. “There is a need for a consensus and at the same time ensure that farmers whose land is acquired, get full benefits”, he said during a discussion on demand of grants to various departments and suggested that the government come out with a clear-cut policy on SEZs.
